What is Kamakura Roji Festa?

Since 2006, the 6th annual "Kamakura Roji Festa" will take place this year again.
Many events, according to the theme "art", "alleys", "city of Kamakura", "lifestyle", etc..... will be held for 8 days in the beautiful spring season.

The event will be held in more than 20 locations ( private homes, galleries, shops, and other facilities ) in the area surrounded by the below points:

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu ~ Ima Kouji ~ Kamakura Station ~ Komachi Oomichi ~ Kanazawa Kaidou

Date:　April 23, 2011 to May 1, 2011

Purpose of "Kamakura Roji Festa"

・activating townscape conservation acts
・activating local artists in Kamakura and in surrounding areas
・enhancement of local art activities and sharing it's profits to the community
・connecting local activities in neighboring areas of Kamakura and providing a field for mutual development
・Providing non-Japanese citizens with detailed information of the local community and an opportunity to communicate with Japanese citizens
